Erosion

A rake is propelled by a clockwork and scrapes slowly with its teeth over the stone plate whereby it is eroded with every second and the kinetic sculpture eventually dissolves itself.

Processes of erosion in nature run so slowly that only over a long period of time traces become visible. This natural measure for time and its eroding force is linked with the man-made symbol of time - the clock, and thus provides the moment with temporality.
